Graphic Technician

Pay: $25-$27/hour

Shift: 1st – 7am – 3/4pm

Position Description:

The ideal candidate for this position will have experience

working with various graphics, both producing and installing. A graphic

production technician is expected to work both independently and

collaboratively to set tasks while maintaining the highest quality. A

technician is expected to be working on multiple projects simultaneously from

start to completion. The tasks range from print and vinyl production, material

handling and preparation, packaging parts, laminating substrates, creating

artwork proofs and guides for installations, communicating with clients,

preparing and manipulating artwork to accommodate unique processes and

circumstances, etc.

Responsibilities:

·Operate various large format machinery including UV printers, laminators, and precision plotters

·Accurately install a variety of signage and large format materials using power and hand tools, self-adhesive vinyl, and other lamination techniques

·Possess strong organizational and communication skills with sensitivity to detail

·Willingness to travel for installs (locally)

·The ability to lead, work and effectively participate on a team as well as independently

·The ability to manage workload and meet deadlines for assigned work

·Be able to shift focus between tasks, both digital and physical, without sacrificing quality.

Qualifications:

·Experience with Adobe Production Suite, specifically Illustrator and photoshop - InDesign a plus

·Experience with cutting/weeding/applying various types of vinyl and window film

·Experience running a laminator

·Wide format/flatbed printing experience

·Eye for quality

·General mechanical and technical aptitude

Additional information:

·Bachelors degree preferred

·Hands on work is a must

·Flexibility to lean over waist high table and use back and forth hand motion to apply vinyl letters and graphics substrate.
