PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Graphics Specialist is a core member of an Interactive Courseware (ICW)/Instructor-Led Training (ILT) courseware development team, working directly with Instructional System Designers/ Computer-Based Training Specialists (CBTS), and Subject Matter Experts (SME) to assist in the design and development of instructionally sound training solutions. The Graphics Specialist is responsible for media design/layout/development, and graphics development. The ideal candidate has prior ILT and ICW development experience on a courseware development team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Develop compliant, accurate document templates and management artifacts.
• Coordinate with Proposal and Capture Managers regarding proposal activities to ensure all proposal phases are executed upon approved proposal schedules/calendar.
• Assist Capture Manager to develop win themes and strategies.
• Format, edit, and produce compliant documents for formal reviews and submission.
• Create new graphics and edit existing graphics content for proposals.
• Review documents to ensure accuracy and proper formatting
• Meet all production deadlines
• Interact with Subject Matter Experts to ensure the accuracy of documentation
• Coordinate support and integrate information from all contributors in the bid development and approval process
• Develop and maintain SharePoint document libraries
• Provide weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual status updates on specially assigned projects
• Perform other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. This position has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned tasks
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
• Advanced computer skills specifically using Microsoft Office Suite and the Adobe Creative Suite; ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint maintenance and administration
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management, staff, and external contacts such as customers, etc.
• Must be trustworthy - will handle confidential information routinely
• Ability to follow established processes.
• Ability to translate technical information into documents for technical and non-technical personnel.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions. Must be able to communicate issues to management.
• Ability to learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate to goals.
• Ability to work on short-term assignments with tight deadlines while managing multiple tasks and projects (may require some evening and weekend work).
• Ability to perform basic mathematical computations
• High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently
• Ability to multi-task
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Associates Degree in Graphic Design/Art or related field, Bachelors preferred
• High proficiency and recent experience with Adobe Creative Suite/Creative Cloud applications, especially intermediate to expert level experience in Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, and Animate
• Solid knowledge of design and visual principles including color theory and typography
• Extensive Microsoft Office experience
• Demonstrated portfolio showing creative, design and software skills
• Prior experience working in an interactive training environment and/or government contractor
• 2D Graphics Development
• 3D Graphics Development
• UI/UX design/development experience
• Experience with video and audio post-production and creation of dynamic animations using software such as Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Audition including motion graphics, compositing, and optimizing video and audio for the web
• Familiarity with Section 508 ADA Accessibility requirements for media assets
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance
