Graphic Design / Marketing Intern

The Chester's International Corporate Office is located in downtown Birmingham, just West of the Alabama Theater and North of Innovation Depot. The Marketing internship is an on-site, paid 10 +/- week program during the summer offering hands-on experience assisting with various marketing initiatives and ongoing projects associated with the Chester’s brand and affiliate brands. This internship program is designed to provide you with a comprehensive learning experience by gaining practical Graphic Design and marketing knowledge.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Project manage special marketing directives as assigned by marketing leadership
• Assist with email marketing campaigns targeting current franchisees and lead generation audiences
• Update ops and training materials to support new company initiatives
• Create new lead generation and development ideas to expand Chester’s franchise network by messaging to c-store owners
• Develop designs for new promotional materials and apparel
• Assist with event planning for Chester’s internal and external functions
• Assist with social media planning and asset creation
• Manage personal workload and work independently
• Maintain digital and physical design files according to company matrix
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to clients and other employees of the organization

Requirements:

• Currently working towards a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Graphic Design or related fields

• Experience with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
• Must be highly creative with strong oral and written communication skills

• Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic
