POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides administrative and technical guidance and support to management and field staff including researching and interpreting relevant regulations, guidelines, and standards. Performs financial and record-keeping functions of the grant process. Ensures accurate financial reporting and procedural compliance on all grants.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Works with program staff to ensure an accurate, timely, and efficient process for the entire grant life cycle, from proposal to close. This entails pre-award management, tracking payments, reviewing or producing relevant reports, monitoring and post-award management.
2. Reviews grant proposals and makes recommendations.
3. Identifies and resolves compliance issues.
4. Serves as the subject matter expert on grant compliance.
5. Provides on-going training to program and finance staff as it relates to grant administration, budgeting and reporting.
6. Prepares budgets associated with grants. Monitors grant adherence to budget and investigates variances.
7. Inputs grant information in the finance system.
8. Performs audits of delegate agencies as needed.
9. Prepares and submits financial reports.
10. Serves as primary financial liaison with grantors including supplying information to grantors.
11. Manages the invoicing process and tracks expenses for grants.
12. Makes adjustments to the general ledger.
13. Submits draw down requests and reconcile deposits.
14. Represents the Corporation at required meetings and related workshops sponsored by grantor agencies.
15. Special projects as assigned.
16. Perform all other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position has no direct supervisory duties but is expected to train or explain work procedures to others.
ROLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (or a related field) is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and Uniform Guidance.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with others, both orally and in writing
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to analyze budgetary line items for compliance with budget guidelines
- Microsoft Office products and financial management software

Background Checks:
- All employees are subject to both a pre-hire and an annual background check. Positions that Require Driving:
- Telamon Corporation / TRC employees that are required to drive a personal vehicle for work-related duties are to meet the auto insurance liability requirement. The minimum limits required are $100,000 each person bodily injury, $300,000 each accident bodily injury and $50,000 property damage. The insurance liability requirement covers use of an employee’s personal vehicle.
- Telamon Corporation/TRC employees that drive a company-owned/rental vehicle must maintain a satisfactory annual motor vehicle record check.
- Must have own transportation, a valid driver's license, and vehicle insurance.
