Job Title: Grants & Contract Manager
Job Summary: CASES, a non-profit organization that aims to increase public safety through innovative services that reduce crime and incarceration, improve behavioral health, promote recovery and rehabilitation, and create opportunities for success in the community, seeks a Grants & Contracts Manager to help oversee government grant administration, manage a portfolio of government and private foundation grants, maintaining timely and accurate financial records. Our ideal candidate is an effective communicator with an attention to detail, who can hustle to meet recurring monthly and quarterly deadlines and is able to work across disciplines and contribute to organizational excellence.
Salary: The salary range for this role is $85,000 – 90,000
Shift Hours: This position is full-time Monday-Friday
Location Address: 2090 Adam Clayton Powell, Jr. Boulevard (7th Ave.), 2nd Floor, New York, NY 10027.
Working environment: Hybrid/ 3 days from office and 2 days remote
What you will be doing:
- Management of a portfolio of government and private foundation grants.
- Supervise grants accountants who are responsible for a portfolio of government and/or foundation grants.
- Maintain tracking and monitoring mechanisms/processes for all grants and contracts actions and implement process improvements where needed.
- Develop an understanding of, expertise in, and stay up to date on reimbursement requirements, methodologies, grant allowability guidelines and agency-specific guidance from City, State and Federal funders (MOCJ, DOHMH, OMH, DOP, DYCD, SAMSHA, and others.
- Assist grant accounts in the development and submission of reports/invoices in accordance with grantor guidelines, i.e., annual budgets, monthly invoices, budget modification requests, monthly, quarterly &/or annual reports and final closeouts. Ensure that all submissions are appropriately reviewed and approved prior to submission, following internal procedures.
- Timely preparation and submission of vouchers/invoices and expenditure reports, including all required supporting documentation.
- Timely preparation and submission of budget modification requests as needed.
- Ensure expenses are properly allocated to contracts as per agreements and that they are properly coded to the general ledger and process adjustments as needed.
- Preparation of workpapers and supporting documentation for program and agency-wide audits and assist in preparation of financial reports.
- Work closely with program management on budgets, budget modifications, and other financial requests.
- Attend regular program budget meetings to report on budget vs actual fiscal information, as well as to keep abreast of program specific budget needs and changes.
- Perform duties in accordance with CASES’ mission, cultural competency, anti-discriminatory and other policies, and procedures.
