STRIVE is active in 14 U.S. locations: in four directly-operated sites and through 10 licensed partners across the country. STRIVE is embarking on a growth plan in order to have the capacity to serve 10,000 individuals a year by 2033. To achieve this ambitious goal, we need to significantly expand our capacity in locations we are currently in and expand to new communities that are in need of our services.
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Contract Manager will oversee and coordinate all aspects of the contract management lifecycle for STRIVE’s portfolio of funding agreements. This includes the award process, execution, compliance, and close-out procedures for STRIVE. The Contract Manager will be the liaison with program executives, external stakeholders, and funding agencies (private, federal, state, local and philanthropic) regarding the endorsement of the contract.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage and monitor of STRIVE’s full contract process from execution to close-out.
· Create a compliance contract plan to monitor multiple contracts and serve as departmental point of contact and knowledge resource on contract details.
· Work closely with the internal Finance & Development team to support the launch of all contracts for the New York team.
- Participates in ‘Kick-Off’ meetings with stakeholders to review and discuss the terms of award, roles and responsibilities, and schedule of deliverables to project manage the awarded contract post kick-off meeting.
- Leads regular contract review meetings to ensure compliance with terms of award; also participates in Close-Out meetings to ensure timely submission of final reports or requests for no-cost extensions
· Provides support to program teams by proactively managing contract compliance and requirements, working with team(s) to ensure they are collecting contractually required documentation and strategizing with team members relating to issues of meeting contract outcomes
· Create a system to track documentation needed for contracts, to ensure proper invoicing requirements are met
· Point person for funder audits that require programmatic documentation
· Maintains monthly and quarterly statistical reports on contract utilization and submits reports as required to oversight agencies and stakeholders, or upon request
· Develops new procedures, control and reporting mechanisms as necessary
· Analyzes system-wide budget usage data to assist and makes recommendations to policies and procedures to increase the utilization of contracts
- Assists with compilation of data for audits and Annual Reports of External Support, including providing narrative information for contract reports
- Gather and review award documents for accuracy and compliance; outgoing and incoming
- Oversee the administration of certain contracting-related processes and tasks including vendor management, data entry, reporting and tracking of key data metrics.
- Take a leadership role with respect to providing contract performance YTD information to internal stakeholders
- Perform other administrative assignments as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree required
· Excellent evaluation and research skills
· Advanced knowledge in MS Office, including Excel, and database applications
· Detail oriented with excellent writing, organizational skills plus strong presentation, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
· Ability to work effectively individually and collaboratively with diverse internal and external stakeholders and constituents of various levels
· Comfort navigating within and among diverse institutions with competing priorities.
· Capacity to provide high quality customer service.
· Reliable - ability to meet deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment, while paying close attention to details.
· Experience with juggling multiple priorities, exercising independent judgement.
Confidently interface at all levels within an organization and with external stakeholders.
Location: This position will incumbent to be in-person five days per week in our East Harlem office.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $77,000.00 per year
