Position Summary
The Federal Work Study position is a part-time, student worker opportunity with National University. The Grant-Writing Assistant will provide administrative support to the grant-writing team.
Essential Functions:
- Study, practice, and become adept at using InfoEd Global’s SPIN Funding Opportunity database.
- Identify grant opportunities from government and non-government agencies.
- Assist with the drafting of grant proposals and supporting documents based on the funding requirements of the organization.
- Assist with sponsorship package and proposal preparation.
- Engage and maintain positive relationships with staff, faculty, students, and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Must be a current National University student who has completed a current FAFSA
- Ability to work up to 15 hours per week Monday-Friday: Hours will be flexible.
Technical / Functional Skills:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
- Ability to complete projects in a timely manner.
- Outstanding organizational skills.

Candidate receiving offers will be offered a salary/pay rate commensurate with experience that vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies. Absent exceptional circumstances, candidates will be offered a salary within this range for this position. The minimum salary will be offered based on the minimum exemption threshold based on state of residency. Compensation Range:
Hourly: $17.00 - $19.00
