We are seeking a skilled Grant Writer to join our team. The Grant Writer will be responsible for researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to secure funding for our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fundraising, research, and budgeting, as well as excellent writing and editing skills. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a difference and wants to contribute to the success of our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research to identify potential grant opportunities
- Collaborate with team members to develop grant proposals that align with our organization's goals and objectives
- Write clear, concise, and compelling grant proposals that effectively communicate our mission and programs
- Gather necessary supporting documents and information for grant applications
- Ensure all grant applications are submitted accurately and on time
- Maintain a database of grants, deadlines, and reporting requirements
- Monitor the progress of funded projects and provide regular reports to funders
- Collaborate with CEO to develop program budgets for grant proposals
- Assist in the development of program materials, including brochures, newsletters, and annual reports
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Grant Writer or similar role
- Strong knowledge of fundraising principles and practices
- Excellent research skills to identify potential funding sources
- Proficient in budgeting and financial report writing
- Ability to write clearly and persuasively
- Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills
- Experience in program development is a plus
- Familiarity with databases and grant management software is preferred
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Must have reliable transportation and possess and maintain a valid California driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, including proof of personal vehicle insurance coverage and insurability under the Agency's insurance carrier standards
