Grant Writer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Grant Writer to join our team. As a Grant Writer, you will be responsible for researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to secure funding for our organization. The successful candidate will have strong writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate our mission and programs to potential funders.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct research to identify potential grant opportunities
- Write clear, compelling, and persuasive grant proposals
- Collaborate with program managers to gather information and data needed for proposals
- Develop budgets and financial reports to support grant applications
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of our organization's programs and initiatives
- Track and report on the status of grant applications
- Manage relationships with funders and ensure compliance with grant requirements
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in grant writing

Requirements:
- Proven experience in grant writing or a related field
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to write clear, concise, and compelling proposals
- Proficiency in financial report writing and budget development
- Familiarity with fundraising databases (e.g., Raiser's Edge) is a plus
- Excellent research skills to identify relevant funding opportunities
- Attention to detail and strong proofreading abilities
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strategic planning skills to align grant applications with organizational goals
- Knowledge of contract management principles is preferred
