Position Description
Advertised Job Summary
The University of South Carolina Brain Health Network is looking for a Grant Writer.
The Grant Writer serves as a Grant Writer and editor for the USC Brain Health Network. The Grant Writer will work with the Department’s faculty and collaborators to prepare research grant applications and manuscripts for publication. The Grant Writer will also identify funding opportunities relevant to the Brain Health Network.


Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree and 3 or more years of related experience, which may be substituted by equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience.

Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in a health-related field and five years related experience, including grant writing experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Excellent writing and editing skills. Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in research and with word processing and referencing software. Ability to work independently.

Work with the Department’s faculty to prepare research grant applications. Activities will include writing, editing, background research, preparation of funding agency forms, assistance with grant budgets, grant submission, and other related activities.
