Minimum Hiring Annual Salary:

The Grant Writer/Manager will work with the Corporate Solutions (CS) team and industry partners in developing grants. They will play a crucial role in the management and administration of Colorado state grants and other potential grants for CS. In addition to being the primary author, they will ensure that grant-funded projects and programs run smoothly and in compliance with the requirements set forth by the granting institution. The Grant Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire grant lifecycle, from identifying potential funding opportunities to managing grant applications, monitoring grant-funded projects, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements. This role involves working closely with various departments and stakeholders to secure and manage grants effectively.
Grant Strategy & Planning:
- Work with the organization's leadership to develop a grant strategy that aligns with long-term goals and objectives.
- Identify potential risks and challenges associated with grant-funded projects and develop mitigation strategies.
- Conduct research to identify potential grant opportunities from government agencies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Evaluate grant eligibility criteria and ensure alignment with business & industry partners and Aims Community College.
- Maintain a database of grant sources and deadlines.
Proposal Development & Submission:
- Collaborate with program managers, Administrative Services Department, other stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather information and data required to prepare high-quality grant proposals.
- Write clear, compelling, and persuasive grant proposals that address the specific needs, requirements and priorities of each corporate training opportunity.
- Create budgets and financial projections to accompany grant proposals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with grant guidelines.
- Prepare and submit grant applications within deadlines, ensuring all required documents, attachments, and supporting materials are included.
- Maintain a comprehensive record of submitted applications and their status.
Evaluation & Impact Assessment:
- Collaborate with program teams to assess the impact and outcomes of grant-funded projects.
- Use evaluation data to improve future grant proposals and project designs.
Grant Management:
- Monitor and manage the entire grant portfolio, including tracking timelines, deliverables, and budgets to ensure compliance with grant agreements.
- Prepare and submit timely and accurate progress reports, detailing the use of funds and the impact achieved.
- Establish and maintain effective grant management systems and processes.
- Ensure that all grant-funded projects and activities adhere to the terms and conditions of the grant agreements.
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports to granting institutions or donors.
Budgeting & Financial Management:
- Develop and manage grant budgets in coordination with finance and program teams.
- Track grant expenditures and ensure financial reporting compliance.
Communication & Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with granting institutions, donors, and partners through regular communication, updates, and expressions of gratitude.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for grant-related inquiries.
- Attend meetings, conferences, and networking events to connect with potential funding partners and stay informed about industry trends.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree, plus one (1) year of experience in grant management, grant writing, or nonprofit management or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
- Strong knowledge of grant regulations, compliance, and reporting requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- This position requires the use of a company vehicle and/or personal vehicle for business travel. The selected candidate must successfully pass an MVR and be insurable under Aims insurance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree OR Masters Degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Finance, or another related field.
- 3+ years of experience in grant management, grant writing, or nonprofit management.
