Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Grant Writer to join our team for a minority women own primary care company secure both federal and local government agencies contracts and grants. As a Grant/Contract Writer, you will be responsible for researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to secure funding for our organization. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong writing skills and a passion for making a difference in the community.
Duties:
- Research potential grant opportunities from various sources
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of our organization's programs and initiatives
- Collaborate with program managers and staff to gather information necessary for grant proposals
- Write clear, concise, and compelling grant proposals that align with funder requirements
- Ensure all proposals are submitted in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of all grant applications and outcomes
- Monitor and report on the progress of funded projects
- Assist in the development of program budgets for grant proposals
- Conduct prospect research to identify new funding opportunities
Requirements:
- Proven experience in grant writing or a related field
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas
- Knowledge of program development, budgeting, and financial report writing
- Familiarity with databases and research tools for prospect research
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Experience in contract management and fundraising is a plus
