What We Do
The Internship Program is a full-time, 10-12 week paid internship from June - August 2024 which will be worked in a hybrid capacity 2 days per week onsite in Santa Ana and 3 days per week from home. As a First American Intern you will work in a program designed to help you gain experience and develop the technical, professional and interpersonal skills that will be invaluable throughout your career. As a First American Intern you will gain exposure to working in a corporate environment within the Financial/Title Industry - balanced with intern-specific activities, executive level presentations and networking opportunities - while under the guidance of a manager and/or mentor. For this role, the Graduate Intern will be assigned significant work assignments to support a specific business function (IAM) within Information Security.
First American's IAM program is comprised of the systems and processes that allow administrators a single digital identity to each entity, authenticates them when they log in, authorizes them to access specified resources, and monitor and manage those identities throughout their lifecycle. You will be joining the Identity governance and administration (IGA) team under our IAM program that provides business access automation to an ever-growing number of technology assets while managing potential security and compliance risks.
What You'll Do:
- IGA Program Review including:
- Discussions with IAM team to gather understanding of IAM-IGA program and team mission statement
- Review and learn the project execution cycles via Azure DevOps (ADO) intake and sprint model
- Recognize the IGA team composition and it's purpose
- Support Requirement Gathering and Analysis
- Work closely with BSA's on shadowing requirement gathering sessions
- Learn about the different access authorization models adopted by application teams
- Learn about application entitlements setup in SailPoint and conduct gap-analysis
- Engage with Internal IAM team to collect requirement support details
- Support documenting business requirements documents following a template guideline
- Process Mapping and Documentation
- Assist in analyzing existing business processes
- Documenting the AS-IS to TO-BE /expected-operational process flows
- Summarize areas of improvements
- Testing and Validation
- Support documenting user acceptance test cases
- Support in execution of user acceptance test cases for in-scope requirements
- Coordinate to collate test results and verify requirements to test results traceability.

- Proficiency in MS Office Suite applications with an emphasis on MS Excel.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills.
Typical Education
- Bachelor's degree and currently enrolled in a Master's program with a focus on business analysis.
Pay Range: $30.00 -$34.00 Hourly
This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
