Graduate Engineer - Water Resources

ISG is excited to bolster our team with a Graduate Engineer to join our Water Resources team. As a Graduate Engineer, you will be an ISG Employee Owner working collaboratively with your fellow employee owners to develop creative solutions. In this role, you will work closely with Jacob Rischmiller, PE, Water Resource Practice Group Leader. You will also collaborate with ISG internal resources for design and project collaboration, project execution, visualization specialists, and construction administrators.

• Downtown Stormwater Improvements, Owatonna, MN
• Market District, Des Moines, IA
• Blue Earth County Ditch No. 57, Mapleton, MN
• Fountain Lake Habitat Restoration, Albert Lea, MN

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Prepare drawings, documents, details, schedules, or specifications using programs such as AutoCAD, Civil3D, and ESRI ArcGIS
• Performing specific design calculations, cost estimates, and plan preparation
• May be involved in public meetings and have other presentation opportunities
• Provide expertise on construction sites as needed
• Interface with contractors, clients, and other ISG team members in a positive & professional manner
• Subscribe to our goals and objectives, operating with a collaborative mentality
• Become a complementary member of our team, and on a project-by-project basis

QUALIFICATIONS

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar degree from an accredited school and 0-3 years of experience in Water Resources or related field
• Ability to travel to various job sites and office locations
• Able to multi-task and establish priorities
• Strong communication, report writing, organization, analytical and interpersonal skills
• Working knowledge of the design standards
• Self-directed and can work independently with minimal supervision
