ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Work includes maintaining records for facility management, assisting in planning and construction of new building projects and renovations; Perform routine plumbing, electrical, painting, HVAC, and carpentry tasks at Adult Foster Care homes and other facilities owned by the Agency. Work may also include maintaining records including maintenance, repair, and vendor procurement; assisting in training of facilities personnel; assist with providing documentation for Facilities Department related to procedures; make recommendations to Facilities Supervisor regarding when and where the services of licensed contractors are necessary; provide assistance to the Transportation and Custodial Department when necessary; comply with Alcohol & Drug Testing Policy (06-001-0010) and Background Check Policy (06-001-0015), as well as supervisors/designee directives; maintain confidentiality.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Technical Skills
- Education:
- High School Diploma
- Licensure:
- Valid Michigan’s Driver’s License
- Experience/Skills:
- Five (5) years’ experience that is directly related to the Essential Functions
- Understanding of HVAC systems

- Associate's Degree in Facilities Maintenance or Transportation Management
- Licensure:
- Certified Energy Manager
- Certified HVAC technician
- Experience/Skills:
- Ten (10) years of experience that is directly related to the Essential Functions
- Lived experience with behavioral health issues
- Other:
- Knowledge of building construction and maintenance, building codes and fire safety codes or vehicle fleet management, operation, and maintenance.

Travel mainly in St. Clair County is involved. Noise levels may vary. Stress to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects will be present.
