Summary
This position is a seasonal internship for Golf operations, assisting Golf Pros in providing services to members and guests. Work includes various activities associated with staging/cleaning golf carts; stocking of supplies; and exposure to the golf and retail shop operations,
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Meet and greet members and guests.
- Clean and stage golf carts.
- Clean golf clubs.
- Stock water, ice, and apples through the golf course.
- Pick/Stock/Clean practice facilities.
- May assist with activities associated with tournaments, retail operations, and point-of-sale systems.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Education & Experience
- A true passion for the game of golf and the community it creates
- Enrolled in 4-year course of study related to golfing, golf management or similar at a PGA/PGM accredited institution.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable in highly fluid and dynamic environment.
- Ability to work with a team and interact with others in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of Stock Farm Club and member and guest information.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and image of the Stock Farm Club.
Additional Requirements & Documentation
- Must pass a criminal background check.
- Must be able to work overtime and holidays as required; must be able to work additional weekday and early morning or evening hours as required.
- Must be able to work variable schedule to include last-minute scheduling needs/changes and working split shifts.
- Must be insurable by Club’s auto insurance provider and possess a valid driver’s license.
Environmental & Physical Conditions
Physical activity is demanding and will require bending, kneeling and lifting. Must be able to lift and carry 70 pounds. Must be able to operate golf cart in safe and efficient manner.
