Administrative:
- Interprets and analyzes program requirements, institutional policies and procedures and data and makes recommendations to the Program Director.
- Evaluates FTE activity for program leadership and ensures that FTE support is in alignment with the ACGME Common Program Requirements.
- Evaluates operational expenses and makes recommendations to Program Director to correct variances.
- Oversees budget for residency program and works with program director and program's education committee on changes.
- Supports requirements for monthly, annual billing and IRIS reporting.
- Analyzes program budgets and forecasts expenditures.
- Designs, Development, and Implements Resident Orientation activities.

Evaluation/Credentialing:
- Coordinates and reviews semi-annual documentation and performance metrics
- Works with program leadership and GME office for annual planning for programs.
- Monitors faculty performance tracking and evaluation process.
- Implements system level evaluation activities of faculty and residents as required by accreditation bodies.
Resident Recruitment:
- Partners with the program director to establish recruitment policies.
- Upholds program and institutional Diversity and Inclusion policies and procedures.
- Updates recruitment brochures, websites, and materials provided to applicants.
- Coordinates information (informational documentation, flyers, brochures) for and may attend recruitment fairs.
- Evaluates applications for invitation (reviewing letters of recommendation, USMLE scores, prior experience, etc.) and makes recommendations on whom to invite to interview.
Creating Culture:
- Promoting and fostering resident/fellow/faculty well-being and participating in the development of supporting activities for residents and faculty.
- Program Administrator will develop mechanisms to track resident/fellow participation and outcomes. In analyzing outcomes, if a concerning trend is identified, the GME Program Administrator will notify the Program Director and may make recommendations for corrective action. Analyzes survey or event evaluation feedback and makes recommendations for new or improved educational events and/or social functions.
- Understands how the training program aligns within the Institution's goals, mission, and aims.
- Coordinates faculty advisory and mentoring programs.
- Analyzes orientation and other activities to align with Diversity and Inclusion principles.
- Evaluates physician-in-training morale, resilience, and responds to concerns.
- Supports resident engagement in organizational and other surveys.
Program Accreditation:
- Advises program leadership of accreditation requirement interpretation.
- Ensures successful site visits from accrediting body(ies).
- Prepares department, faculty, and physicians-in-training for site visits.
- Managing and monitoring compliance with institutional and program policies, and all regulatory accreditation, licensure, and certification requirements.
Human Resources:
- If applicable, participates in the hiring, training of residents
- Evaluates physician-in-training morale, resilience, and responds to concerns
- Coordinates faculty advisory and mentor programs
Additional Activities:
- Completes professional development activities
- Maintains good rapport and cooperative relationships. Approaches conflict in a constructive manner. Helps to identify problems, offer solutions, and participate in their resolution.
- Maintains the confidentiality of information acquired pertaining to patient, physicians, associates, and visitors to St. Joseph Mercy Health System. Discusses patient and hospital information only among appropriate personnel in appropriately private places.
