Konica Minolta is looking to add a Global SupportCenter Industrial Print Senior Specialist to our Illinois team!
Responsibilities
- Perform quality checks on all equipment at the GSC
- Manage and maintain all equipment at the GSC
- Demonstrate Roll-fed Toner, Industrial Print, Digital Embellishment engine operations during Customer Product Demonstrations (Sales personnel is responsible for customer demonstration)
- Prepare and print relevant marketing media samples (covering full product line up) for field sales
- Prepare and print customer samples (covering full product line up) to support sales efforts
- Responsible for ensuring engines are running efficiently and are ready for demonstrations and training classes
- Develop Industrial Print product training-related materials to support sales efforts - videos, eBooks, battle cards, media guide, etc. (requires working closely with Global Support Center Manager to determine resources required)
- Develop Product-related training materials for technical specialists and end-users, including best practices to run and troubleshoot the equipment (requires working closely with Global Support Center Manager to determine resources required)
- Monitor spare parts, supplies (toner, etc.) and paper inventory and assist with ordering respective items to maintain adequate inventory levels in an effort to ensure high-uptime for all engines and that necessary supplies are on hand to meet customer demonstration, sample media request, training, etc. demands
- Assist GSC Manager as needed in maintaining relationships with 3rd party vendors
- Effectively test vast area of media, customer files and complete test reports using established templates and formats
- Primary interface to third party vendors based on assigned products
- Engage in learning activities required to maintain current knowledge of assigned products and essential business practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Arts, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3+ years solid product knowledge including software and print solutions, applications, and software utilities in a graphic arts workflow
- Experience in project management skills
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Understand graphic arts print standards, ISO, GRACol, SWOP, G7
- Proficient in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Windows Operating System and MAC OS
- Ability to learn new technology quickly and thoroughly; must recognize need for constant education (formal training as well as self-teaching)
- Readiness to delve into overlapping areas of responsibility to increase overall knowledge of Konica Minolta Industrial Print portfolio (technical training, marketing/sales training, business training courses, etc.)
- Willingness and motivation to learn on an ongoing basis
- Adaptability to change; tasks, responsibilities often change based on market demands, immediate customer needs, etc.; this position requires an individual that can easily adjust to change in direction and duties
