The expected compensation range for this position is $201,308 - $246,043, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.). The Impact You'll Make in this Role
As an Americas Sourcing Team Manager - Logistics , you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Consults with leadership team to set medium- to long-term strategic direction and operating plans for a large complex market/manufacturing operation.
- Interprets industry trends, customer requirements, and business objectives to define guidelines/methods for multiple areas within Package Engineering organizational areas.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategy, processes, and policies for modes within the region and provide input for strategies globally.
- Lead supplier contract negotiations, execute competitive bids, manage amendments, and manage rate data processes.
- Manage supplier relationships creating opportunities for improved cost and quality of goods & services.
- Comply with 3M Purchasing Controls, Quality Manual, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this Category.
- Monitors market intelligence and key trends, assesses impact and refines category plans to support business requirements
- Analyze category supplier performance data to find opportunities for supplier performance improvement and to establish continuous improvement goals
- Actively participates in supplier business reviews with suppliers to ensure both parties meet obligations under the terms of agreement, including performance standards and continuous improvement goals
- Manages strategic contracts across suppliers, products, and services within category.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited university and a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in logistics
- Five (5) years of Logistics Sourcing experience in a private, public, government or military environment
- Four (4) years of leadership experience in a private, public, government or military environment
- Four (4) years of experience working with business groups, operations, or manufacturing locations
OR
- High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution and a minimum of twenty (20) years of experience in logistics
- Ten (10) years of Logistics Sourcing experience in a private, public, government or military environment
- Four (4) years of leadership experience in a private, public, government or military environment
- Four (4) years of experience working with business groups, operations, or manufacturing locations
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Master's degree in business administration, engineering or logistics and supply chain management from an accredited institution
- Excellent verbal and written communications
- Ability and experience effectively interacting at senior executive levels
- Strong program management and problem-solving skills, and collaboration across teams, functions, and organization
Work location:
- Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Maplewood)
