Responsibilities
The FM Approvals Global Business Development Manager is responsible for achieving customer and product content growth, and is accountable for:
1. Leading all sales efforts in the three sales regions.
2. Ensuring the Regional Sales Mgrs. (RSMs) and their staff are successful in achieving their objectives.
3. Assisting RSMs to draft and execute their respective regional strategic sales plans.
4. Identifying new product opportunities and/or market penetration strategies.
5. Support the RSMs to develop effective partnerships with Operations and OEMs to continue to support property loss prevention.
6. Provide focus on developing, coaching, training and mentoring RSMs to help them in their efforts to have their teams create new opportunities and maintain a full funnel.
7. Manage key customer and prospect relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities
8. Helps coordinate the generation of Focus prospect lists
9. Works with RSMs and Operations to augment sales strategies and opportunities.
10. Develop effective partnerships with Technical Area Managers and the COO to continue to introduce efficiencies in the sales opportunities and proposal development efforts.
11. Monitor customer, markets, and competitor activity and provide intel to company leadership and other disciplines to ensure that regional sales plans are effective and can be supported by the Technical Areas.
12. Partner with all members of FM Approvals senior management team and local FM Global leadership to ensure the achievement of sales objectives
Qualifications
- Bachelors of Science Degree
- 10 years of related previous experience
- Front line sales experience
- Knowledge of FM Approvals is highly desirable
- Excellent managerial, organizational, communication and presentation skills
- Proven cross-discipline knowledge and credibility
- Thorough understanding of the global industrial/commercial product testing and certification marketplace, competitors, and delivery channels
