The Position
Global Product Manager -DEJob Summary
As the Global Product Manager, Diatomaceous Earth you will own, drive, and evolve the product line strategy to maximize profitability of the mineral globally. You will play a crucial role as the central coordinator of the DE business, working cross-functionally with Senior Management, Sales, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, R&D, Product Stewardship and Quality.
Responsibilities:
Drive the DE business to achieve its full potential by executing a robust marketing strategy, optimizing plant capacities, exceeding customer expectations, and spearheading continuous improvement initiatives through troubleshooting and solution implementation.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of all drivers influencing net profit, taking the lead in managing and influencing the P&L for maximized profitability.
Acquire in-depth knowledge of the product marketplace by collaborating effectively with sales and marketing teams to comprehend customer needs, competitive landscape, product strengths, weaknesses, and leverage this information to shape strategic direction.
Ensure profitable product manufacturing by supporting Operations with rigorous analysis of raw material costs, operating expenses, and asset optimization strategies.
Optimize the product mix and pricing strategies for enhanced asset efficiency and maximum margin realization.
Spearhead opportunity assessment, prioritization, and development of well-justified business cases, providing strategic recommendations for business growth, asset optimization, and M&A opportunities.
Benchmark competitors' product portfolios, global reach, strategies, and cost structures to maintain a competitive edge.
Champion S&OP processes to ensure production of the right products that meet customer expectations, making tough trade-off decisions when necessary, leveraging your comprehensive business understanding.
Serve as a crucial support system for International Sales teams, facilitating the integration of their activities with production and support functions across regions.
Demonstrate flexibility and versatility in identifying and addressing unmet business needs, proactively developing solutions to bridge gaps.
Background and experience requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree required, Finance, Business, or Engineering Degree preferred
Minimum 10 years experience working in a strategic, product management, finance, marketing, sales or operations-related function in a cross-functional environment
Strong business & financial acumen, and strong data analysis skills.
Operations and/or finance experience preferred
Able to operate strategically and tactically depending on the need
Executive-level communication & presentation skills
Proven ability to influence in a matrix environment

**Working out of America's Corporate Office in Roswell GA. Flexible schedule, three days in, two days remote/home approach
**Significant travel, up to +40% in the first 12 months. Primarily West Coast US + Mexico. Likely future travel to EMEA and APAC regions once a year.
