Dobbs Truck Group operates 25 commercial truck dealerships through two operating companies – Dobbs Peterbilt and Western Truck Center. These dealerships represent some of the best commercial truck brands including Peterbilt, Volvo, Mack, Autocar, and Hino and include locations in Arkansas, California, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oregon, Tennessee, and Washington.

I. General Job Description


This position will utilize their knowledge and negotiation skills to define and implement the company’s strategic plans and objectives and ensures management controls and best practices are shared across all operations.

Responsibilities

  • Drive operational improvement thru use of KPIs to optimize and reduce overall end-to-end logistic cycle time and inventory reconciliation.
  • Develop and track best practice across operations (including third-party) to ensure effective delivery of inbound, outbound, and reverse logistic services and consistency.
  • Run continuous improvement projects.
  • Develop and track best practices for consistency.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the various cross-functional teams to ensure overall program alignment
  • Influence various teams without direct reporting structure
  • Demonstrate the agility required to quickly shift focus between tasks to deliver on multiple projects
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills with ability to understand complex problems and distill the message into a clear plan
  • Positive, enthusiastic, fast learner, can-do mindset and passionate about process improvements and data analysis
  • Research invoice and credit discrepancies to support effective management of accounts receivable

II. Minimum Job Qualifications

  • 5 Years shipping and receiving experience
  • 2 years of experience in the Class 8 truck/transportation industry
  • 2 years of quality control experience

III. Desired Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Proven experience in customer service.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills.

IV. Mental Capability Requirements

  • Comprehension: Ability to understand opposing points of view on highly complex issues, negotiate, and integrate different viewpoints.
  • Organization: Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules of others on long-term basis.
  • Reasoning & Decision Making: Ability to make decisions with significant impact on department’s credibility, operations, and services.
  • Communication: Ability to formulate complex and comprehensive materials, such as legal documents, authoritative reports, official publications of major scope and impacts, and make formal presentations.
  • Mathematics: Ability to compute, analyze, and interpret complex statistical data and develop forecasts and computer models.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is not exposed to weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
