Olsson's Telecommunications team provides clients with services ranging from long haul outside plant design, building entrance design, Fiber-To-The-x (FTTx) design, GIS asset management/fiber mapping services, and project permit coordination. As a GIS student intern on our Telecom team, you will perform meaningful, hands-on, real-world work that will transform your classroom experience and help you envision your future career. You will assist designers and engineers using ESRI's suite of products, 3GIS and Netdesigner, to perform design work and spatial analysis, create construction plan sets, conduct data collection activities, and model telecommunication networks. You may also travel to job sites for observation and/or fieldwork if needed, working in all types of terrain and weather conditions.
We are looking for a student intern to work at least 15-20 hours per week during the spring semester with the potential to continue working into the summer.

- Pursuing a degree in GIS, geography, drafting, electrical engineering, or relatable field
- Experience in ArcMap (or similar software)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work 15-20 hours per week during the school year in our Fort Worth office
- Strong problem-solving and math skills
