Utz Quality Foods is pleased to announce an opportunity for students to join us for a Supply Chain/Customer Logistics Co-op.
Co-Op will take place in Hanover, PA or Dallas, TX . Participating students will need to be able to relocate to either location.
Students in this role willhave day to day responsibility for order management and planning for specific customers. Additionally, they will be tasked with key projects and support analytics development for the department. Approximately 50% of the day to day function will be order management support through acquisition, entry, and cleansing of customer purchase orders. This includes interaction with customer buying and replenishment personnel to work on improved order accuracy. In addition to supporting order entry, this person will be responsible for administrative tasks related to tracking and shipping the orders. They will be required to conduct regular audits of transaction details to ensure all order processing maintains the required accuracy, customer service, and quality standards. The Coop will be responsible for the management of relationships with customers to meet customer service demands. This individual will also look for and analyze new opportunities that will enhance the logistics network and improve our cost to serve. Approximately 50% of the role will include Project or Analytical work. These projects will be current needs and identified at the time of the position. The candidate will learn customer service, logistics operations, and analytics and have opportunities to deliver real results to the organization, while gaining valuable industry experience. Students will need to be available to work spring semester and summer break.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for timely and accurate entry of all assigned customer purchase orders.
- Responsible for tracking all orders from entry to delivery to ensure on-time and in-full.
- Accountable for all service KPI's; Perform analysis on performance trends.
- Resolve chronic service issues; ensure cross-functional Supply Chain partners are performing to expectations and maintain corrective action plans for those that are not. Proactively identify problems and swiftly work with senior management to implement the appropriate solution.
- Evaluate orders, consolidate to improve order efficiency, and optimize sourcing to reduce cost to serve.
- Be the liaison between the sales team, customer, and Supply Chain to drive mutually beneficial improvements.
- Coordinate and review daily service scorecards, both internal and from customer for improvement opportunities.
- Work closely with Supply Chain to adjust deliveries when requested and communicate disruption causes.
- Manage the primary activities of the order to cash cycle including, order entry, planning (load building and mode/carrier selection), execution (tendering, track trace and scheduling), and reporting (performance to budget, compliance).
- Ensure compliance with all customer service level agreements.
- All other work as assigned and appropriate for the position.
Requirements
- Ability to work mid January through the end of end of summer.
- Demonstrated analytical, business process, and problem-solving experience.
- Prior experience engaging cross-functional teams designed to identify analytical and savings efficiencies and design solutions.
- Self-starter who thrives working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic, deadline-oriented environment.
- Creative and innovative thinker.
- Proven organizational and priority setting skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
