Join our Survey/Geospatial team, which offers a full range of survey and geospatial data and mapping services that enable us to collect data faster, safer, and more accurately than ever before. Duties may vary dependent upon management.)
Essential Position Functions:
• Prepares Topographic Surveys suing TopoDOT and MicroStation software
• Performs 3D modeling and data extraction for Civil Applications
• Manages and maintains company GIS software, licensing, and updates
• Maintains and enhances geographic information system data sets, according to evolving needs and resources including digitizing, editing, research, creation, calculation and editing of attributes and merging of data from different sources.
• Documents data sets, applications, and procedures.
• Supervises the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in the collection and analysis of geographic data.
• Oversees development of geospatial data sets and the application of information about the earth in city planning, development, or exploration initiatives.
• Identifies sources of topographic information, including maps, aerial or satellite imagery, or direct field observation.
• Develops methods for converting disparate data for consolidation and use in the GIS.
• Establishes processes for ensuring quality of geographic data sets.
• Other duties as required.
Education and/or Experience:
• Bachelor's degree and 4 to 6 years of experience is preferred.
• MicroStation & AutoCAD experience required; TopoDOT & other 3D Modeling software experience desired.
• Must be able to handle complex issues and problems and refer only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
• Must possess comprehensive knowledge of subject matter.
• Must demonstrate organizational skills, technical expertise, debugging skills, and problem-solving skills.
• Must have advanced to expert Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills.
• Able to effectively handle multiple priorities and complete assignments with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communications skills.
• Must be able to work alone, and with a team.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
