SalarySmithLife Homecare is in search of compassionate and dedicated Geriatric Nursing Assistants (GNAs) to join our esteemed team. Operating within the dynamic environment of an Assisted Living Facility, Rehabilitation Center and Long-Term Care handling a caseload of 10-12 cases within a fast-paced setting our GNAs play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care. Ideal candidates for this position are licensed GNAs in Maryland with a profound passion for working with older adults.
The position requires flexibility in working diverse shifts, spanning day, and evening rotations throughout the entire week, from Monday to Sunday. This adaptable schedule is designed to enable our caregiving team to effectively address the varied needs of our residents, delivering comprehensive and continuous support. Job Factors:
Must be licensed GNA in Maryland, have a current CPR, TB Screen, COVID-19 Vaccine (Both Doses), Authorized to work in the U.S. Must have at least 1 year experience working in a facility is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Manages a caseload of 10-12 cases, ensuring quality nursing care in line with established routines and procedures to guarantee residents' comfort and safety.
- Maintains accurate documentation on residents' charts according to facility protocol.
- Adheres to the direction provided by facility staff in accordance with their policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates expertise in infection control and consistently practices standard precautions.
- Records residents' vital signs, weight, intake and output, and other measurements accurately and punctually.
- Completing Point of care (POC) for patients
- Collaborate with fellow caregivers to provide top-notch patient care within an Assisted Living Facility, Rehabilitation Center and Long-Term Care.
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) and provide compassionate support.
- Foster a positive and engaging environment for older adults
- Collaborate with the care team to implement and adjust care plans.
Schedule:
- Various shifts, including day and evening only
- Monday to Sunday flexibility
Requirements:
- Maryland GNA license is Mandatory.
- CPR Certification (Required)
- COVID-19 Vaccinated (Required)
- TB Test or Chest X-ray (Required)
- 1 Years experience in a Facility (Required)
- Passion for working with older adults.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and evenings.
