Position Details:
Position Type: 6 Month Contract
Job Location: Starke, FL

Compensation: $17-$20/hr
Daily Activities and Responsibilities:
• Ensure all work is performed within company, state, and federal regulations, standards, statutes, policies, and procedures.
• Report all personal injuries and EHS incidents and assist with both safety and environmental investigations.
• Identify and promote opportunities to improve mine safety performance, act as a safety leader.
• Clean and maintain spirals to include picking splitters, clearing distributors, and washing debris from the spirals.
• Provide general labor support to the Plant Operator to maintain good housekeeping on the plant and clean spiral condition.
• Work in a self-guided manner in the absence of supervision and demonstrate creativity, exercise sound judgment, and demonstrate initiative.
• Ensure a high standard of housekeeping is maintained in all assigned areas.
• Ensure operational activities and process performance are aligned with plant and business goals.
• Support overall mining and mineral processing needs to include providing supplemental labor to operations and maintenance personal to meet mine goals.
Summary:
The Plant Operator Assistant supports the Plant Operator in overseeing the operational function for mining and mineral processing facilities operating 24-hours per day, 7-days per week to ensure peak plant performance. The Plant Operator Assistant will support Plant Operators in maintaining spiral condition to include picking splitters, washing spirals, and other activities required to maximize recovery of the plant.
