General Office Assistant

Treasury Mail Operations is requesting 2 General Office Assistants to support the Tax Compliance Bureau with their seasonal Discovery Project. This position would not require a data entry test, as they would be assisting more in the mail room side of things.
Job Description:
Temporary staff is required to process the high volume of payments and correspondence received above and beyond usual volumes of mail. Processing will ensure accurate and timely delivery to the Tax Compliance Division. Last year the volume of Discovery letters received was approximately 55,000.
Both Mail & Data Operations Temps:

• Ability to read, write and understand proper formatting of written names.
• Ability to learn quickly and retain information.
• Excellent attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to sit at a desk and do repetitive work for 8 hours.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to multi-task and perform a variety of tasks.
• Must demonstrate professionalism and understand the use of State equipment is not to be used for purposes unrelated to work obligations.
• Must be dependable and have excellent attendance.
• Ability to work both as a team and independently.
