Job Summary: The Designated Representative (DR)/General Manager (GM) is responsible for managing all day-to-day operations in Elevated Growth OH, LLC’s Columbus, Ohio dispensary in accordance with the regulations set forth in Ohio Administrative Code Rule 3796:6-3-05, the standards set forth by Elevated Growth OH, LLC, and the Elevated Growth Employee Handbook. As a persuasive, inspiring, and strategic leader, the DR/GM will drive corporate financial and operational efficiencies, and create, maintain, and enforce strong internal controls. The DR/GM remains current on the developments in the field through independent study and stays updated on industry news and product information. This role provides strategic leadership regarding the organization’s business model and operations and aligns financial resources to support both short and long-term strategic goals.
The DR/GM provides oversight of all in-store operations, developing operating plans to meet objectives, formulating and executing a comprehensive marketing and promotional plan, coordinating and providing oversight of interdepartmental operations, and assuring standard operating procedures are up-to-date and support the achievement in defined business and store KPIs, annual revenue goals and talent retention. This role implements sales strategies, meets sales targets, including driving sales and revenue, leading in-store initiatives, store strategies, staying abreast of customer and business trends and ensures optimal customer service satisfaction.
The DR/GM assists in formulating policies that guide various aspects of Elevated Growth OH, LLC’s operations and ensures compliance with all regulations and standards. Actively communicates with ownership on retail and strategic business initiatives and manages specific projects that may be assigned by executive-level management.
The DR/GM is responsible for organizational staffing and leading talent acquisition, development, compensation, and employee retention strategies to make sure that Elevated Growth OH, LLC is fully staffed with qualified, professional, and competent patient care advisers. This position is responsible for certifying that all employees always have the required training and licenses. The DR/GM should understand that they are an important part of creating and maintaining a healthy culture among staff by modeling the values of integrity, accountability, diligence, and discipline. This role requires a high level of judgment in people management, coaching and developing. The GM has a responsibility in ensuring all staff is performing and meeting the store expectations and must proactively coach underperformers to support their success.
The DR/GM is responsible for managing dispensary staff and supervising daily tasks, as well as providing support to dispensary staff, including scheduling, training, payroll, enforcing policies and procedures, providing policy and procedure updates. Responsibilities include coordinating with upper management to make certain that accurate information is communicated to dispensary staff; responding to all staff questions, concerns, or suggestions. The DR/GM provides coaching, feedback, and development opportunities for direct reports as well as other employees within the scope of leadership. Additionally, the DR/GM is responsible for performing or assigning the duties of any unfilled positions on the organizational chart as necessary.
The DR/GM collaborates with the Elevated Growth’s finance team and assists in budgeting, meeting or exceeding annual budget goals, financial forecasting, financial reporting, and safeguarding the organization’s financial sustainability. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records of dispensary activities including daily cash reconciliations; patient/customer records, sales, deliveries and returns in accordance with the State of Ohio; providing expense reports for any dispensary spending; and making payments for certain dispensary expenses. The DR/GM provides the management team with accurate daily, weekly, and monthly recaps and reporting of sales data and patient counts as well as regular inventory, sales, and profitability reports.
The DR/GM is responsible for store compliance, safety, and for delegating tasks to all team members to maintain a compliant and clean facility, ensuring that the physical environment is safe and sanitary, and that all equipment/technology is in good working order. The DR/GM adheres to all health and safety standards and is accountable for the team’s adherence to company policies and procedures. The DR/GM also interfaces with IT managers to continually assess technology needs and make changes based on business needs.
The DR/GM is responsible for guaranteeing excellence in customer service at Elevated Growth LLC’s Columbus dispensary. The DR/GM coordinates patient outreach and educational programming, with input from growers, processors, and Elevated Growth’s Marketing and Community Outreach team. The DR/GM also serves as the liaison to the local community and area health providers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Strategy, or Accounting or commensurate experience
- At least five years of leadership experience in fiscal and retail management
- Prior experience as a general manager or other senior-level management experience across business functions
- Experience managing a team of 10 or more
- Strong knowledge and understanding of accounting and compliance guidance
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Exceptional communication and consensus-building skills
- Excellent supervisory, coaching, and leadership development skills
- Proven track record of working in an ambiguous, startup role
- Experience with Change Management
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working in the cannabis industry, preferably in Ohio

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
