The General Manager of Payments at Weave will play a pivotal role in driving the transformation of our Payments product into a core component of our business strategy. This role is instrumental in orchestrating the evolution of our payments offering to dominate healthcare payments, delivering unparalleled customer experiences, and directly contributing to the company's revenue growth strategy.

The right candidate for this will be a proven results oriented leader who possesses outstanding business acumen in both the SaaS / Payments business model and also in the operations and key business processes of SMB businesses. In this role, you will obsess over the optimization of our payments revenue opportunity at Weave. You will uncover opportunities to deepen our penetration rates, increase payment volumes, and optimize our net yield. You understand that to accomplish this, our payment solution will need to solve real problems for our customers. So you will identify new features and payment workflows that will reduce transaction friction and increase payment collection for the customers we serve.

  • This position will report to the Chief Revenue Officer and will be open to remote candidates. However, frequent travel would be required to the main headquarters in Lehi, UT.

What you will own:

Payment Strategy & Operations:

  • Develop and own the payment strategy, aligning it with overall business objectives to drive monetization and revenue growth with ownership of the payments P&L.
  • Identify opportunities and execute strategies to capitalize on the highest upside potential within the payments sector.
  • Establish and use reporting on key metrics that will guide Weave to optimally build and execute against our payments opportunities.
  • Oversee payment operations, including transaction processing, reconciliation, and fraud prevention, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance
  • Monitor industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation.
  • Partner with our legal & compliance organization to implement and maintain robust risk management practices to mitigate fraud, chargebacks, and other payment-related risks
  • Monitor and analyze payment data to identify patterns, trends, and potential issues, taking proactive measures to mitigate risks

Go-to-Market Strategy:

  • Established GTM strategy and motions to create a sustained inflection in payments revenue growth.
  • Demonstrated expertise in effectively leading sales teams to consistently surpass their targets and objectives.
  • Work alongside the new business sales team to refine tactics and incentive structures, empowering sales representatives to effectively articulate the unique value proposition of our payments solution and secure customer commitment.
  • Collaborate with the Product team to identify new workflows or user experiences that improve our value proposition and drive payment product adoption and usage.
  • Partner with the Marketing team to enhance our storytelling and effectively communicate the benefits of our payments product to prospective customers.

Leadership and Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Lead and mentor a team of payment professionals, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Set clear objectives, provide regular feedback, and promote professional growth for team members.
  • Act as an internal champion for the Payments product and educate the entire company on the massive payments opportunity and our strategy to capture the market.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams ensure alignment with company goals and the nuances of the payments business, processes, and strategy
  • Influence decision-making processes and provide strategic insights to drive product development and market positioning.

What You Will Need to Accomplish the Job:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Strong understanding of go-to-market strategies and demonstrated success in leading GTM teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Track record of driving revenue growth particularly within the SMB (Small and Medium-sized Business) sector.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment towards common goals.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to define processes and design customer-centric experiences that differentiate the Payments product offering.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

What Will Make Us Love You

  • Experience in payments strategy development, with a track record of driving revenue growth in the payments space.
  • Experience in the dental or healthcare industry is a plus.
  • Proven track record of executive level strategic initiatives from brainstorming to executing
