General Manager (Gm)

The newly renovated Hotel Moraine (formerly Sunset Motel) is hiring!

We are a 20 room boutique hotel located on the Long Island Sound. Featuring a private beach and additional high-end amenities, we are looking for passionate staff interested in providing next-level customer service.

Job requirements include:

• Oversee all aspects of operations by exercising demonstrated knowledge and experience in all phases of hotel management, including sales and marketing, revenue management, human resources, food and beverage, budget and forecast management, rooms, housekeeping, maintenance and security/life safety.
• Strong management background and an obvious passion for the hospitality industry. Your passion for service is contagious and you are a natural coach that loves to build effective teams and inspires individuals to do their best.
• Utilizes an “open door” policy and reviews team member engagement results to identify and address team member problems or concerns
• Fosters team member commitment to providing exceptional service; participates in daily stand-up meetings; and models desired service behaviors in all interactions with guests and team members
• Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring, firing and training of employees
• Create, document and administer standard operating procedures for all departmental areas, including but not limited to, front desk, housekeeping, food + beverage, and maintenance
• Possess a gracious, friendly, and fun demeanor
• Ensure general maintenance and cleanliness of all public space areas
• Manage the requests and use of the property amenities
• Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high level attention to detail
• Verbal and written communication skills in English
• Maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments
• Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork

Physical Abilities:

• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance

• Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
• Requires manual ability to use, carry, and operate all necessary equipment

Pay: $90,000.00 per year
