Summary
The General Manager will direct and manage our organization's business activities. He/she is responsible for the success of their branch and will achieve this by developing and implementing effective business strategies and programs. Duties for the General Manager will include allocating budget resources, formulating policies, coordinating business operations, monitoring and motivating staff, managing operational costs, ensuring good customer service, improving administration processes, engaging with vendors, hiring and training employees, identifying business opportunities, and monitoring financial activities. Your entrepreneurial spirit and vision in directing business functions will assist our organization in maintaining relationships with clients, generating new business, increasing staff productivity, improving service, ensuring sustainability, and meeting business objectives.
The successful GM possesses excellent communication skills, superior knowledge of business functions, exceptional budgeting and finance skills, and strong leadership qualities. The noteworthy General Manager should account for all business activities, support staff development, enhance efficiency, drive sales and improve revenue, maintain relationships with clients, enhance the organization's image, and meet overall growth objectives.

- Ensures the highest quality of customer service
- Oversees daily business operations
- Evaluates performance and productivity
- Coordinates the development of key performance goals for functions and direct reports

- Ensures all ACT jobs are completed in a timely manner and with the highest quality
- Ensures proper maintenance of branch equipment
- Explains and implements company policy with all branch personnel
- Is a role model for all employees, managers and clients
- Represents company to local business communities
- Responsible for overall vendor management
- Responsible for client conflict resolution
- Selects, guides, monitors, trains, and motivates staff
- Oversees key hiring and talent development programs
- Communicates strategy and results to branch employees
- Manages all recruiting and hiring of employees
- Training lower-level managers and staff
- Perform annual employee reviews per schedule & corporate revie w standards
- Develops a branch succession plan
- Finance
- Responsible for achieving Branch revenue profitability goals
- Creates and manages budgets
- Evaluates and decides upon key investments in equipment, infrastructure, and talent
- Analyzes accounting and financial data
- Delivers 3-month revenue forecast to the Executive Team on an ongoing basis
- Reviews and ensures accuracy and approves all branch expenditures. To include but not limited to; expense reports, Vendor invoices, Travel & entertainment, waste disposal methods and costs. Ensures invoices are submitted to accounting in a timely manner
- Growth
- Collaborates with Commercial team to develop and implement growth strategies
- Conducts weekly sales meetings and pipeline review in coordination w/RSM
- Responsible for the management of the Branch sales pipeline in coordination w/RSM
- Ensures proposals are accurate, timely and maintains margins aligned with Branch goals
- Informs management of deals over 100K or margins below established mark-ups prior to presentation to client. Is compliant with established company proposal process
- Assists sales team in closing large deals, and providing customer service to accounts as necessary
- Responsible for researching and identifying growth opportunities
- Engaging in key or targeted customer activities
- Safety & Compliance
- Responsible leader to drive all aspects of our proACTive safety program
- Responsible for all aspects of Branch compliance with personnel and fleet
