General Maintenance Worker

General Maintenance Worker!

Summary:  With minimal supervision perform General Maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings such as electrical work as required.                                                                                        

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:  High school or GED and minimum of 4 years; of experience in General Maintenance (painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical).                  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Ability to assist in repair and maintenance of equipment in the following areas:
   1. HVAC
   2. Machine/Carpentry        
   3. Facilities Maintenance
   4. Electrician
2. Replace electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motor. (Electrical Maintenance Worker)
3. Replace damaged paneling and floor tiles.
4. Perform General Maintenance on equipment and machinery. (HEO Maintenance Worker)
5. Read and interpret blueprints.
6. Read free hand sketches for work to be performed.
7. Perform general sheet metal duties. (Machine Shop Maintenance Worker)
8. Accept and accomplish special assignments from supervisor.
9. Dispenses fuel for site vehicles.
10. Crane and forklift rigger for lifts.
11. Spotter for backhoe and trencher operations.
12. Maintains and organizes sling loft.

1. Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
2. Practical skills and knowledge in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work.
3. Ability to drive trucks up to 26,000 BVM.
4. Ability to operate forklifts up to 15K lbs.
5. Maintain work areas withing safety and environmental requirements.
6. Ability to operate man lift platform.

BACKGROUND AND SECURITY CHECKS REQUIRED:

RATE OF PAY: $17.25 WDR 

Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-4:30pm (every other Friday off)
