General Lab Assistant

Silvec, an agricultural biotechnology firm located in Gaithersburg MD, is seeking to fill an entry level position for a General Lab Assistant. Successful candidates should be enrolled in a course of study in Biology, Plant Science, Plant Pathology, Environmental Science or a related field. The Lab Assistant will report directly to the Lab Manager. Responsibilities include making media & solutions, antibiotic stocks, autoclaving and dishwashing.

Salary is $18.00 per hour, 10 hours per week. Flexible scheduling is available with some weekends required. Experience is not necessary but helpful, and all training will be provided.
