TEKsystenms has an opening for a Systems Administrator on base in Bellevue, NE.
Must hold at minimum active/current DoD Top Secret with the ability to obtain SCI.
•Install, configure and maintain networked UNIX, Linux and Windows systems to support mission requirements.
•Perform software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages in accordance with program directives.
•Monitor and tune systems to achieve optimum level of performance.
•Maintain system backups and database archives to support data and media recovery.
•Maintain user accounts according to government approved procedures.
•Provide computer support as needed to resolve hardware/software issues.
•Conduct routine hardware and software audits on workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, procedures and configuration guidelines. Understand, adhere to, and implement established security policies.
•Perform proactive and reactive system administration to ensure the availability, integrity, and reliability data and services.
•Provide recommendations regarding system performance and capacity planning, including new technologies to enhance current systems and infrastructure.
•Requires participation in a rotating schedule to be on call for 24x7 support.
Must be able to:
•Install/configure/maintain the Red Hat operating system on VMware virtualization infrastructure plus all GCCS-J server applications
•Install/configure/maintain Windows Server 2012-R2 and Windows 10 operating systems plus all GCCS-J workstation applications
•Interpret and modify batch, shell, and PowerShell scripts.
•Possess troubleshooting skills to resolve issues that arises on any GCCS-J systems or workstations using current admin tools and technical support that is available.
•Completed BS with 5-7 years, MS with 3-5 years, or PhD with 0-2 years experience or 11 years hands on experience without a degree
•Strong knowledge of Red Hat Server Operating Systems
•Knowledge of virtualization concepts and products (VMware)
•Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory (AD) for user and groups
•Knowledge of current Microsoft Operating Systems (Server & Workstation)
•Familiarity with Oracle/Sybase/Postgress database maintenance
•Familiarity with Java application servers (Tomcat, JBoss)
•Familiarity with Linux/UNIX applications and services (NFS, SSH, NTP, LDAP, HTTP, Ansible)
