United Talent Staffing is seeking a Gas Technologist I to join the Hope Gas team in Jane Lew, WV
Provide technical or engineering support in the design and coordination of projects on the natural gas distribution, transmission and/or storage systems, and in the completion of project documentation and technical records. Duties and responsibilities may vary based on specific job needs.
- Assists/performs mathematical and analytical calculations, research and design to provide engineering or technical support to designated area.
- Gathers, compiles, reviews and analyzes information and data for use in engineering tasks.
- Develops and implements process improvements.
- May coordinate and act as a liaison with other departments or outside agencies.
- Assists/prepares design drawings and documents, under the direction of an engineer as applicable.
- Provides support in coordination of projects.
- Creates/maintains reports, system records, and database information.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experiences (Minimum Requirements)
- 0-2 years related work experience.
- Basic knowledge of company policies and procedures related to natural gas system design and operations.
- Basic knowledge of industry safety regulations and related codes and standards.
- Knowledge of basic engineering principles and ability to apply theories and concepts.
- Ability to learn to read design drawings, field notes, and surveys.
- Math and technical aptitude. Personal computer skills and knowledge of applicable software programs.
- Basic knowledge and ability to use computer aided design and geographic information system software as required by job duties.
- Good oral and written communication skills including basic technical writing skills.
- Basic analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Organization skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team.
Education
- Associate preferred in Engineering or Engineering Technology
Working Conditions

- Cold Up to 25%; Heat Up to 25%; Office Work Environment 76 -100%; Outdoors Up to 25%
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000
Reports to: Manager - Engineering Projects
