SalaryThis part time Fundraising and Volunteer Coordinator position will:
- Raise funds to enable the Savannah River ROC, RCO by aggressively developing and nurturing current and prospective donors including individuals, foundations and corporations.
- Respond to inquiries and communicate with donors, advisory organization members, and Aiken Center staff.
- Plan and coordinate monthly outreach/fundraising events.
- Travel occasionally within the catchment area of Aiken, McCormick and Edgefield counties.
- Ideal candidate to reside in South Carolina
Other Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to recruit, train, and retain volunteers
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the volunteer program
- Coordinate volunteer assignments and schedules
- Provide ongoing support and supervision to volunteers
- Conduct volunteer orientation and training sessions
- Collaborate with other departments to identify volunteer needs
- Maintain accurate records of volunteer information and activities
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the volunteer program and make recommendations for improvement
- Represent the organization at community events and meetings
- Utilize RDP software for volunteer management
The successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (prefer a related field of study) AND
- One year of experience performing related fundraising, marketing and/or sales work (major gift experience preferred)
- Ability to research, solicit, and secure funds from individual, corporate, and foundation relationships.
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience developing relationships with the expressed purpose of causing a prescribed action outcome.
- Ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Up to $18.50 per hour
