Job Title: Medical Coder (Meaningful Use Quality Measures)
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Coder specializing in Meaningful Use Quality Measures. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in medical coding, particularly in the context of Meaningful Use Quality measures, and a strong understanding of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA.
- Coding and Documentation: Ensure accuracy and completeness of coding to support Meaningful Use Quality Measures reporting.
- Meaningful Use Reporting: Collect, analyze, and report healthcare data related to Meaningful Use Quality Measures. Ensure compliance with Meaningful Use criteria and guidelines set forth by regulatory agencies.
- Quality Assurance: Perform regular audits of medical records and coding to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Meaningful Use Quality Measures requirements. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with healthcare providers, clinical staff, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate documentation and coding practices that support Meaningful Use Quality Measures reporting.
- Training and Education: Provide training and education to healthcare staff on coding practices, documentation requirements, and Meaningful Use Quality Measures to ensure understanding and compliance across the organization.
- Stay Updated: Stay current with changes and updates to healthcare regulations, coding guidelines, and Meaningful Use requirements. Implement changes into coding and documentation practices as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Certified Coder through AAPC or AHIMA including one or more of the following certifications: CPC, CCS, RHIA, RHIT, COC
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical coding, with specific experience in Meaningful Use Quality Measures reporting.
- In-depth knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS coding systems and Meaningful Use Criteria.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and Meaningful Use requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding and documentation.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in coding software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
