Immediate Full Time Opportunity for a Site Safety Manager

Immediate Full Time Opening for a Site Safety Manager in Gallup, NM.

Responsibilities include:

Reporting to the Director of Safety, assists in the planning, administration implementation and enforcement of the Company's Safety Programs to control risks and losses.

Assists with implementation of job specific requirements relating to safety, hazard analysis and emergency action plans.

Facilitates drug and alcohol testing in accordance with company, federal and state requirements.

Conducts regular safety audits and inspections of assigned construction projects and other onsite personal. Identifies hazardous conditions and reports findings to the Director of Safety. Ensures safety issues are resolved in a timely manner.

Organizes and maintains required record keeping of site safety activities and actions.

Conducts accident /incident investigations as needed. Identifies root cause(s) and recommends corrective action measures.

Ensures accident/incident reporting procedures and medical treatment/first aid plans are followed. Prepares and submits required reporting to the Director of Safety.

Reports observations or violations to the Director of Safety for enforcement.

Facilitates safety and loss control training for supervisors, employees and subcontractors, as required by Company Policy, Outside Regulatory Agencies or Contract Specifications.

Assists with record keeping of employee certifications and training.

Records hazards and personnel exposure occurrences as required.

Provides understanding and interpretations of local, provincial and federal regulations and statutes relative to environmental safety, employee safety, and Workers' Compensation to ensure the Company's compliance.

Assists in maintaining relationships and communication with outside agencies and organizations appropriate to the project.

Some travel may be required.

Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum 2-year degree in Safety or Construction related field

Thorough knowledge of OSHA1926 requirements, OSHA 500, 501.

Ability to successfully implement effective Safety initiatives that reduce accidents/incidents and heighten Safety awareness among employees.

Ability to conduct accident/incident investigations.

Ability to recognize hazardous situations and ability to implement corrective measures.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus!

Must have working knowledge in excel, word, power point, emails, etc.

Valid Driver's License with satisfactory MVR
