GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION
The primary focus of the Program Site Staff is to provide onsite assistance to program residents in the Scattered Sites Program. This position will focus on maintaining the safety, security and ensuring program guidelines are adhered to. The program staff will monitor the buildings and activities during shift to ensure a safe and secure operation and make the appropriate alerts or calls when or if an incident occurs. Full Time 40 Hours Friday - Tuesday 4:00pm - 12:00am
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS*
- Ensure the cleanliness of common areas.
- Each shift will complete building rounds every two hours.
- Complete shift and incident reports for each shift.
- Report any maintenance requests or call for emergency maintenance as required.
- Receive new families for placement as needed.
- Responsible for ensuring families keep common area and hallways free form all personal belongings.
- Maintain keys for units in locked key box.
- Ensure visiting guidelines are adhered to.
- Mediate tenant concerns that may arise on shift.
- Monitor security system and report any issues or specific concerns.
- Utilize email, phone and written means of communication.
- Other duties and assignments as requested.
- Clean units once families exit shelter
- Assess any maintenance issues reported by families after hours by entering the affected units and thereafter contact landlord or Centerboard’s maintenance crew.
- Ensure accuracy of the cash in the “laundry lockbox” by completing a double count with staff from pervious shift- report any discrepancies to a supervisor immediately.
- Any other tasks or duties as required for program operations.
COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a high school diploma/GED or some college proffered. Two years experience working in housing services, residential programs or public contact. Candidate must possess strong communication, ability to problem solve and organizational skills. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record preferred. Able to relate to people; written and verbal communication skills.
