Job Description
Full-time live-out nanny required for a warm DUMBO family with a newborn (due Jan 2024) and 4 yr old boy starting Spring 2024. Specific duties to be negotiated with the family, but in general, you will be responsible for all child related duties including providing nurturing care and interacting with their children in a fun, stimulating, and age-appropriate way. You will also be expected to assist with child related cleaning and organizing, meal/bottle prep and laundry.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be someone positive, active and engaging and have flexibility in their schedule based on family needs. The ideal candidate is someone who is proactive, experienced with infant and toddler milestones and who appreciates open communication with the family. The candidate should be experienced/comfortable assisting with household tasks if the schedule allows.
Location: DUMBO, NY
Start date: Spring/Summer - in place by Spring 2024. NCS in place for 10 weeks.
Days/times: Monday to Friday 45 hrs a week but could range up to 60 hours depending on needs. The family wants to find the best of the best! General schedule will vary based on family needs but min hours guaranteed; toddler is in school Full Time. Domestic and International travel is expected.
Children: 2 children Newborn (due January 2024) and toddler (age 4)
Conditions: $30 - $35 per hour* plus unlimited metrocard, public holidays and full two weeks paid leave per year
Year end bonus also provided by on performance and market conditions

For further consideration, applicants must possess the following:
- Authorization to work in the US
- A minimum of 3 years experience as a nanny, 5 years preferred
- A well-suited demeanor for working with toddlers
- Needs to be able to handle taking care of both children at the same time
- Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, maturity and high emotional intelligence
- Education or equivalent knowledge of ages and stages of child growth and development
- Ability to complete all child related duties (including, but not limited to: meal preparation, cleaning up/tidying bedroom and play areas, laundry, researching and planning playdates and activities, etc
- Experience/willingness to assist with household tasks as needed (light housekeeping, errands, packages)
- Ability to commit for a minimum of 2 years for all permanent positions
- A clean background to pass our comprehensive background check and social media checks
- A professional appearance
- An open and flexible schedule and ability to travel (at least 1-2 international trips/year)
- A valid passport (or willingness to obtain)
Additional qualifications we look for:
- Training and certifications such as First Aid, CPR & AED, early childhood education, defensive driving, water safety certification, etc.
- A four-year college degree from an accredited university
