Form of workA busy family in Manhattan is seeking a career nanny to work on a rotational schedule caring for their 14-month-old baby. The schedule will be 14-days-on/14-days-off with a general daily schedule of 7am to 8pm. The day-to-day schedule will vary based on the family's needs and travel plans. There is a 24/7 mentality needed during the on-duty days. A person who is energetic, positive, warm, professional, and developmentally focused will excel in this role. The family wants someone who is a great caregiver, who is reliable, and will create a stimulating environment for their child. This family travels extensively so being able to be flexible and travel is a huge plus.
Duties include all aspects of care for the child. The candidate should have several years of childcare experience ideally in high-end homes, as well as child development knowledge. The family is looking for a candidate who has previous experience in a similar role and truly understands the dynamics of a 24/7 position. The family’s household is busy with many moving parts and they expect the highest quality of work from their staff. The ideal person is hardworking, has a strong sense of discretion, and strikes a balance in being both self-sufficient and a team-player. The nanny should be comfortable for the baby to sleep in their room at night, changing diapers, feeding, making sure they hit their milestones, etc.
This position requires that the candidate be fully vaccinated against COVID. The family travels both domestically and internationally often and the candidate should be willing and able to accompany them as needed. In the TriBeCa residence, a private bedroom and bathroom will be provided for the nanny. The salary will be up to $130,000 and benefits will be provided (health insurance, sick days, etc.).
