Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team in Wisconsin. This position involves co-teaching, with a focus on math and literary instruction, as well as inclusion with some pull-out support on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with general education teachers to provide inclusive and supportive learning environments.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Design and deliver engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Provide direct instruction in both math and literary subjects, adapting curriculum to meet individual student needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that encourages active participation and mutual respect.
- Implement effective behavior management strategies to create a conducive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) Special Education certification.
- Experience in co-teaching and inclusive classroom settings.
- Strong background in providing math and literary instruction to Middle school students.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices for Special education.
