Sales Associate Job DescriptionSummary

Skills and Responsibilities:

• Works closely with customers to determine needs
• Answers questions about products and recommends the right solutions
• Promptly resolves customer complaints and ensures maximum client satisfaction
• Stays up-to-date with product features and maintains store’s visual appearance to high standards.
• Enthusiasm and passion for the outdoors and excellent customer service are a must
• Achieves excellent customer service by building relationships with genuine conversations and personal interactions
• Provides a positive customer experience with fair, friendly, and courteous service
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Responsibilities

• Support the company culture that ensures radical customer service and high performance is the focus of all activities.
• Deliver outstanding customer service by surpassing our customer's everyday expectations.
• Assess customers’ needs to provide assistance and information.
• Support an environment that places the needs of the customer before any task-oriented job responsibilities.
• Work as a team with co-workers to maximize sales and enhance the customer experience throughout the entire store.
• Maintain store appearance by adequately performing general housekeeping.
• Comply with inventory control procedures.
• Knowledgeable of and follows all store safety procedures
• Peer-to Peer Accountability. Serve co-workers and be willing to have courageous conversations as needed for each other’s individual development and growth.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Requirements:

• Must be 16 years or older with a high school degree or equivalent, highly preferred
• Proven work experience as a retail Sales Associate, sales representative or similar role preferred

Schedule Requirements:

• Availability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• 5-day work week with primarily 8-9-hour shifts
• Eagle Eye Outfitter is closed every Sunday

Computer Skill Requirements:

• Basic Typing Skills
• Microsoft Applications
• General Understanding of Excel
• General Familiarity with iPad functions
• Previous Experience using a POS/Inventory Management System is a plus

Intellectual Competence Requirements:

• General understanding of Retail Customer Service practices
• Basic Math Skills
• Proficiency in English but bilingual in Spanish is a plus
• Sound judgment/decision-making ability: must be able to apply consistent logic, rationality, and objectivity in decision-making. Must be able to maintain an objective view of situations to make impartial, well-reasoned decisions.
• Continual learner. Assess and recognize own strengths and weaknesses; pursue self-development.

Physical Demand Requirements:

• Stand/Walk for long periods
• Use of hands for firm and strong grasping. Frequent use of finger dexterity
• Ability to reach with hands and arms
• Ability to talk, hear, and communicate clearly with co-workers and customers
• Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling up to 25 lbs
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
