Full Stack Web Developer (Workforce)

We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Web Developer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of innovative workforce products. This role is critical in delivering high-quality software solutions that meet the evolving needs of our project.
This remote position is open to W2 and C2C candidates, with a preference for C2C. Candidate must be located in the United States with a strong preference for candidates located near New York - NY, NJ, CT, PA, or MD.

Duration: 24+ Months Project

Responsibilities:

• Software Development: Write software aligned with our development practices and styles, pulled from a prioritized backlog. Write unit tests and conduct functional testing.
• Collaboration and Participation: Actively participate in discussions on architecture, technical approaches, and strategies. Engage in all agile ceremonies (standup, pointing, retro, show & tell, etc.) and effectively communicate technical decisions and priorities within the agile product delivery team.
• Technical Transition Assistance: Help scope and lead the technical transition of content management systems, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.

Mandatory Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 13 years of experience in software writing with proficiency in the technologies specified below.
• Full Stack Engineering: Strong experience in front and back end development, with the ability to build or architect large, complex systems.
• Technologies: Proficient in SQL, JavaScript, CSS, NPM, and Git-based version control systems.
• Workflow Competence: Demonstrated experience working in story-based workflows, such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, Trello, or similar platforms.
• Documentation: Ability to create technical design or implementation planning documents.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

• Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate business or product needs into technical requirements.
• Technology Decision Making: Experience in deciding which technologies to use based on team priorities and integrating design system libraries.
• Programming Languages/Frameworks: Experience with Vue.js, PHP, WordPress preferred.

Soft Skills:

• Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
