- Development of a software application to provide automation of the creation of engineering documents in both MS Word and MS Excel format, using the MS .NET framework.
- Provide storage procedures to manipulate data in the developed database.
- Use established computer programs to develop software.
- Provide necessary testing, bug fixing, and support of the developed software.
- Work independently with written and verbal instructions.
- Provide any additional tasks as requested or assigned.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external contacts.
- Maintain sensitive and confidential company information.
- Respond to change productively and handle other duties as required.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor Science Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technology major.
- 5+ years of work experience (including internships or hobby project work) in programming preferred.
- Experience in industrial automation, including networking and communication protocols preferred.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Knowledge of MS Access or SQL database
- Programming Language (Visual Basic or C#)
- .net Framework (API)
- Visual Studio software
- MS Office API (interface between Visual Studio and Microsoft Word/Excel)
- Experience with Windows-based development
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Ability to read, speak, and write in English required.
- Engineering background (preferred)
WORKING CONDITIONS
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Minimal travel may be required.
