Software Developer

Job Summary:
The Software Developer will contribute to the iterative evolution of our new Platform in Microsoft Azure. You will also create applications and tools used to design, develop, and maintain the platform. This role will work closely with other teams to gather infrastructure requirements, documents procedures, troubleshoot complex issues and implement deployment automation solutions. The Software Developer will be a self-starter and multi-tasker working in a fast-paced environment.
Job Description:
Duties/Responsibilities:

• Works closely with business users, application development, application architecture, and software release management teams to gather requirements.
• Supports infrastructure from an engineering, security, and architecture perspective.
• Assists in managing the complete software development process from conception to deployment.
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker recommended, not required.
• Focus on developing, implementing, and operationalizing cloud solutions that are highly available and resilient by utilizing best practices in systems engineering, network engineering, and multi-region design strategies.
• Documents standards, processes, workflows, and policies around applications and underlying infrastructure.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve highly complex application and infrastructure issues.
• Writing clean, functional code both on the front- and back-end.
• Creating and configuring APIs
• Designs, implements, and refines Microsoft Azure cloud solutions across multiple tenants with various networking and scalability using infrastructure-as-code.
• Understands Infrastructure-as-Code and/or Microsoft Azure Resource Manager.
• Writes and follows Standard Operating Procedures for knowledge transfer and continuity.
• Performs ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Maintains alert monitoring platform and validate alerting solutions; resize virtual platforms as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Experience in the following programming languages: C#, ASP.NET (Blazor experience is an asset)
• Knowledge in multiple front-end languages and libraries (HTML/CSS)
• Familiar with Azure Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD) VDI environment and has a good understanding of creating custom images, deploying, assigning, and maintaining Azure (WVD) environment.
• Familiar with Azure Firewalls, Network Security Groups, VNets, and route tables.
• Demonstrable experience creating and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps.
• Passion for eliminating repetitive manual processes using automation.
• Strong sense of ownership, customer service, and integrity demonstrated through clear communication and positive action.
• Experience with relational databases (MS SQL, Oracle, etc)
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Strong work ethic and the ability to deliver solutions under deadline.

Education and Experience:

• B.A./B.S. in Computer Science or related discipline and/or equivalent, relevant work experience
• 5+ years of experience in design/development of complex software applications of object-oriented and multi-tiered systems preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer/laptop.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
• This role does require the ability to travel up to 10%
