Full-Stack Developer (Technical Lead)

FTI is searching for a Full-Stack Developer (Technical Lead) to help our continued efforts to support the Department of Air Force Rapid Capability Office (DAFRCO), the Space Rapid Capability Office (SpRCO), and the Space Development Agency (SDA). Additionally, FTI is providing critical support to the U.S. Air Force (USAF) NGAD and ABMS programs. Each of these offices are developing first-of-kind space capabilities. Successful deployment of these capabilities to the USSF and the U.S. Space Command Guardians relies on close coordination with SSC and, in many circumstances, the successful transfer of these programs to SSC for the purpose of transition from development to deployment by SSC. FTI is expanding direct support to SSC by providing subject matter expertise of this unique portfolio of capabilities and the activities required to ultimate deliver these capabilities to warfighters.

• Provide strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff.
• Work on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently.
• Oversee efforts of less senior staff and responsible for efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.
• Ensure consistent submission of high-quality products to the Government.
• Communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy—oral and written.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with an Active TS security clearance with SCI eligibility adjudication and the ability to obtain and maintain special accesses.
• Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, software development, or STEM related specialty and 8 years’ experience in software development; or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, software development or STEM related specialty and 10 years’ experience in software development
• Relevant experience performing engineering activities in the Government (military and/or civil servant), federally funded research and development center, or profit or non-profit Government support, or development contractor arena
• Programming experience with Python, MariaDB, React, NoSQL as well as at least two of the following: Angular,  JavaScript, CSS, HTML, & Material UI.
• A minimum of four years of experience in full stack development with complex cyber security in classified environments
• Experience leading complex cyber security software development and deployment activities in classified environments.
• Familiarity & knowledge:
  • Apache Spark, Kubernetes, Kafka, SIMP Project, Ansible, Docker, GIT, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Suricata, Zeek, Kibana, Logstash, Elastic Search, Neo4J, PostgreSQL, AWS Cloud & Nifi
• Experience or Knowledge in the following Areas:
  • Agile software development, agile methodologies, agile project management, software project management, defensive cyber military operations, software development life cycle management, program/project management, systems engineering, strategic planning, cross-functional team

Desired skills/experience:

• Relevant DoD and/or Industry work experience in Space Systems Command
• Experience with Cyber Operations Branch (SSC/SZYO) program office
• CISSP or equivalent

For this role, the compensation range for candidates in Colorado is ($160K- $195K).  Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. FTI has a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
