Fuels Marketing Sales Representative
Position Summary:
The Fuels Marketing Sales Representative will grow fuel sales and gross margin to meet quota for assigned territory. This person is expected to organize, manage, and develop a relationship with customers in their territory. They will gain knowledge of industry, products and services. This position will represent and communicate Cato products, services, policies, procedures and programs to the customer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Grow volume and profit through all Fuel Wholesale Marketing channels: Branded and Unbranded business.
- Meet sales and profit objectives
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers
- Communicate verbally and in writing with customers about their business, account status and resolve any account issues
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and customers
- Implement company policies and initiatives
- Provide excellent customer service at all times
- Assist with credit collections
- Secure and document competitive information
- Continue product and general skills education
- Submit all required reports and information in a timely manner
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Wholesale experience within the petroleum industry is preferred
- Understanding of industry pricing indexes and standards preferred
- Experience in selling fuel products preferred
- Knowledge of dispatch/fuel truck deliveries
- Possess strong organizational/time management skills
- Ability to interact with customers in a professional manner
- Must be able to respond to phone calls, text messages and emails during business hours, nights, weekends and holidays
- Work with all company personnel in a spirit of cooperation and teamwork as well as working independently
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
- Minimal travel required as necessary to perform job
- Valid Driver’s License
Education/Experience:
- High school/GED required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years fuel sales experience preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
