We are looking for professional individuals to join our team at the Sheraton BWI Hotel who are able to work in a busy atmosphere. Our room attendants must be able to pay close attention to detail while servicing our guest rooms at check out and during our guest’s stay. You must be able to manage your time wisely to complete your daily duties and work as an individual or with fellow team members. All of our employees are required to be able to assist guests with any special needs or requests during their stay.
Responsibilities and Duties
1. Fully embrace Service Excellence Initiative by demonstrating “customer-first” actions for all our guests.
2. Greet guests with a warm and sincere greeting.
3. Listen and respond to guest inquiries using a positive, clear speaking voice.
4. Answer questions and offer assistance giving accurate information about Resort services offered and directions throughout the Resort
5. Changing bed linens and remaking the bed to standards.
6. Changing out terry items in rooms, including towels, hand towels, wash clothes, bath mats, etc.
7. Vacuuming floors and spot cleaning carpeting as needed
8. Dusting and Polishing Furniture
9. Cleaning Bathrooms
10. Replacing guest room items and supplies such as toiletries, welcome letters, etc.
11. Maintain appropriate personal development
12. Adhere to Company policies
13. Observe and enforce proper safety procedures
14. Exhibit a high level of personal organization and time management
15. Ensure timely completion of special projects and other duties as assigned
16. Maintain personal integrity at all times and in all matters
17. Appropriate and timely feedback to supervisor
Special Physical Requirements of the Job/Working Conditions
- Ability to lift and/or carry linens, terry and mattresses as needed to make bed
- Ability to use hands or fingers to handle keys, cleaning supplies, etc.
- Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform the essential job functions.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, & kneeling.
- Routinely exposed to extreme hot/cold weather conditions while servicing units with exterior corridor entry.
- Routinely exposed to dust and particles
- Required to work flexible schedule on the needs of the business.
Special Skills:
- Good verbal communication skills in English
- Positive and effective customer service skills
